This Independence Day there  is little  to celebrate

America has lost its way!

Our convicted criminal president continues to desecrate American values and principles.

His Medicaid cuts will unconscionably deny health coverage to an estimated 12 million citizens in need so that he can deliver unnecessary tax breaks to the absurdly wealthy.

Universities and the free press are under constant attack from this deranged White House.

Government agents are now imposing daily “reigns of terror,” arresting and deporting thousands of migrants without due process.

Medical research and clean energy initiatives are being curtailed.

Elected Republican officials have chosen “staying in power” rather than confronting  this insanity from a would be  king. And the Supreme Court no longer functions independently.

Incredibly, all of this has come from a seditionist who orchestrated the violent  2020 attack on the nation’s capital and then incredibly pardoned the criminal  perpetrators.

Sadly, this Independence Day is signaling the demise of our democracy.
